Track Trivia:
Bristol can be best described as "controlled chaos". With lap speeds routinely at about 125 MPH drivers can get caught up in a crash on the other side of the track in about 15 seconds. Spotters are very important here for that reason. Not only do they have to watch the car they have to watch the whole track.
The track started using concrete in 1992 and since then side by side racing has gotten more common. The track won't change much with the weather but tire strategy is very important because concrete is harder on tires. There is not normally fuel strategy here because there are a lot of cautions.
Why are there cautions? Because drivers are impatient and that's what it takes to score a top 5 finish here.
Where is the trouble? Anywhere near a rookie.
