Track Trivia:
This track has been around longer than most people know. It was built in 1968 but no one knew about it until 1989, when NASCAR came to the scene. (Ricky Rudd was the first to win here by the way). It was mostly designed for F1 and Motorcycle racing. This track is open 340 days of the year and there is some scheduled activity here on all of those 340 days, making it the busiest track in racing. Frankly, I think that should be its nickname, "The Busiest Track in Racing".
Track position is the most important here. Most of the race winners have qualified in the top 5. Restarts on this track are single file only. Pitting here is important, you want a pit box close to the exit for track position.
Where is the trouble? Turn 11. It's a right hand turn and it goes through elevation changes also.
